2023 Vision Plan

The 2023 vision plan continues to be provided by MetLife, using the VSP network, with no changes to the plan or rates.

With the vision plan, you can go to any licensed eye care professional, but staying in-network offers the best cost savings to you. Choose from the thousands of ophthalmologists, optometrists and opticians at private practices or popular retail locations like Walmart, Costco® Optical, America’s Best, Cohen’s Fashion Optical, Eyeglass World, For Eyes Optical, Pearle Vision*, Sam’s Club, Shopko, Visionworks, and more.

Members can get two pairs of prescription glasses, one pair of glasses plus the contact lens allowance, or double your contact lens allowance.

* Please note that not all Pearle Vision locations are in-network. Be sure to call ahead to ensure the location you visit is in-network.

Plan Coverage

With the MetLife's Vision Care Plan, you save money on your family’s eye exams, eyeglass lenses and frames, and contact lenses. If you choose to use an out-of-network provider, you will pay the full fee to the provider and MetLife will reimburse you based on your vision plan coverage.

For out-of-network services, member pays in full at the time of service and files a claim with MetLife for reimbursement. Out-of-network amounts shown above indicate the amount the plan will pay. You will be responsible for covering the balance.

Note: Contact lenses and eyeglass lenses are covered once every 12 months. Frames are covered once every 24 months.

After you've used your maximum allowances, you will receive 20% savings on the cost for additional pairs of prescription glasses and non-prescription sunglasses and lens options.
